Freedom

I caught my daughter in a moment of pure freedom. Riding her bike fast, hands out to the side, face towards the sun as she sang Redbone's "come and get your love" at the top of her lungs.

It was beautiful, sure she should have her helmet on ( we go round and round about this) and yes, her hands should be on the bike handles.

But that moment of pure bliss, pure freedom, pure kid-dom -- it was beautiful and pure and reminded me of everything in life that makes life worth it. Evening breezes, loud songs about love, hair in the wind and arms outstretched to receive it all.

God is in these moments. Filling us with joy and treasuring our hearts.
